401 Planned Bypass and Alternate Route – April 21 & 22, 2023 and No overnight Parking along King St.
Brockville – The Hallecks Road Highway 401 bridge is being demolished over two evenings, on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 23, 2023.
During this time, the 401 will be re-routed via the Emergency Detour Route (EDR) through downtown Brockville from Long Beach to North Augusta Rais on and off ramps.
– The detour will be two (2) consecutive nights, one for each direction on the 401.
– The detour plan can be found here: Detour Staging Drawings https://tinyurl.com/us8v6s2m
– The planned EDR activation will bisect the City @ King St. and make crossing King St. difficult for residents and emergency services.
Planned Bypass Dates and Timing:
– April 21, 2023 – Westbound bridge structure. All Westbound 401 traffic will exit at North Augusta, move south to King St. then west to Long Beach on-ramp
– April 22, 2023 – Eastbound bridge structure. All Eastbound 401 traffic will exit at Long Beach, move east along King St. then North to rejoin the 401
– In both cases the time will be 10:00 PM the evening of until 10:00 AM the following morning
City staff, including Brockville Police Services and Brockville Police Department, are working closely with the Ministry of Transportation to mitigate issues and provide safety measures for the public with as little disruption as possible.
