St. Lawrence Parks Commission Welcoming Guests Back to All its Properties for the 2023 Season This Weekend

It’s Opening Weekend! Now Open for the Season: Campgrounds, Beaches, Historic Sites, Golf and Marina

Morrisburg – As of this weekend, St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) is welcoming guests back to all its properties. With campgrounds, beaches, marina and historic sites opening and Upper Canada Golf Course now operational, it promises to be a busy long weekend, followed by another summer of historical, recreational and memorable experiences for people of all ages.

For those looking to get out and get a taste of summer:

Campgrounds and Beaches

  • Campgrounds open Friday, May 19 and reservations for campgrounds must be made online.
  • Daily and Seasonal Passes are available for Beach & Day Use Areas, open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Farran Park Campground & Day Use Beach (Ingleside), Glengarry Beach (Lancaster), and Brown’s Bay Beach & Picnic Area (Mallorytown) open on Saturday and Sunday starting May 20.
  • Note: Crysler Park Beach (Morrisburg), Mille Roches Beach & Picnic Area Long Sault) and Woodlands Beach & Picnic Area (Ingleside) openings will be delayed until June 3 due to the health and safety risks posed by significant damage from the ice event last month.
  • All day-use areas will be open daily from June 24 to Sept. 4.

Golf and Boating

Historic Sites

  • Kingston Pen Tours – new Express Tour added to Standard Tour and Extended Tour.
  • Fort Henry – 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last ticket sold at 4:30 p.m.).
  • Upper Canada Village – 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last ticket sold at 4:30 p.m.). Upper Canada Village has special entertainment and cake to celebrate Queen Victoria’s birthday on Sunday, May 21.
  • Tickets can be purchased online for all historic sites through our website. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended.
