Brockville – The Brockville Women in Business is pleased to announce the recipient of the Sue MacLaurin Resilience Award. The award will be presented at their Annual General Meeting being held June 20th at 6 PM at BUSL Cider in Mallorytown. The BWB is a volunteer organization that serves businesswomen in Brockville and the surrounding area. Established in 2009 the group meets monthly to provide a format for networking, education, support, and referrals.
The award was created to honour the memory of Sue MacLaurin who was an active member of BWB. She, unfortunately, lost her battle with cancer in November of 2013. This award allows her legacy to live on.
Sue was a leader, a doer, a risk taker, a connector and a teacher. She was generous with her time and talent. She faced her battle with cancer fearlessly and with dignity. Each year the Brockville Women in Business seek a woman to honour who exemplifies these qualities.
