Athens – The Athens Lions Club is presenting the 42nd edition of the Farmersville Exhibition this Friday evening, July 14th, Saturday, July 15th and Sunday, July 16th at Centennial Fairgrounds and Centre 76 in Athens.
There will be lots to see and do over one evening and two days. There will be tractor pulls, vintage tractor pulls, truck pulls, crafters and vendors market, western games, horse draws, helicopter rides, live music, children’s events, chainsaw carving, and many Vintage Tractors, Trucks, Machinery, Cars, and Motorcycles on display, and horse-drawn wagon rides on Saturday.
This year the featured tractor is John Deere. New this year is JED The Mechanical Bull and lawnmower pull on Sunday. The Shriner’s Breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday mornings runs from 7 am to 10:30 am in the pavilion.
Live music over the weekend will include, Jordy Jackson performing on Friday night from 8:30-11:30 pm, On Saturday, the Beverly Boys from 12-3 pm, Cajon and the Hollow Bodies from 3-6 pm, and Bootlegger from 7-10 pm. Sunday will feature Spencer Scharf from 12-3 pm and Craig Curtis and friends from 3-5 pm.
Gates open at 5:30 pm on Friday night with the Truck Pull starting at 6 pm. Gates open at 9 am on both Saturday and Sunday.
Admission to the event is $25 for a weekend pass and daily passes for Friday are $10, Saturday is $15 and Sunday is $15.
