Brockville– The Brockville Bunnies won one and lost one in their two games against the Malone Jr. Border Hounds on Saturday in Malone.
Sunday’s at-home double-header with the Montreal Baseball Academy was cancelled by Montreal.
On Saturday the Bunnies split the pair of games in Malone losing game one late 4-3 but rebounding in game two for a 4-2 win. Conditions on Saturday were cold and wet.
Rowan Hicks was strong on the mound with 10 strikeouts but 4 errors and a late rally by Malone cost the Bunnies the win.
The Bunnies only managed two hits in the first inning with Ryan Robinson singling and Cohen Gill connecting for a 3-run double.
Brockville was content with a 3-1 lead and lose giving up 3 in the seventh.
The second game was similar, the Bunnies hopped out to a 4-0 lead after one and the team was content with the 4 runs.
Joe Barkley gets the win with an outstanding effort on the mound in mucky conditions. Lucas Gravlin doubled with singles by Hunter Sanger, Brady Barrie and Kody Kirton.
