Brockville – We are aware of the concerns, from many in our community, about alleged assaults, described as sexual in nature. We are attentive to these concerns from our community and take
investigations of this nature seriously. Thus far, we do not have evidence or information to believe that any public safety messaging is necessary.
We are sensitive to victims of crime and as always, we encourage anyone with information to contact the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
The Brockville Police would like to remind everyone that it’s always important to take proper precautions and make decisions to promote your personal safety. Here are some suggestions to keep in mind, no matter where you are:
- If walking at night; try to walk in pairs or groups.
- If walking at night; try to take routes that are lit and populated.
- Carry a flashlight and cell phone.
- Consider carrying a whistle or personal alarm device to attract attention, in the event of an emergency.
Public Safety is the number one priority of the Brockville Police Service. We strive for this security with the partnerships in our community.
