2023 YMCA of Eastern Ontario’s Annual George E. Smith Memorial Fire Truck Pull Raises Over $86,000 So Far!

Brockville – The 2023 YMCA of Eastern Ontario’s Annual George E. Smith Memorial Fire Truck Pull was held on Saturday morning at the Brockville location. You can still donate to the fundraiser.

This year a record 25 teams participated in the annual fundraising event, the largest for the Y raising over $86,000 so far.

The winning team was Newterra with the fastest time of 30.05. Coming in second place was the Elizabethtown-Kitley Fire Department.

The event raises funds for the YMCA’s financial assistance program that provides support to those in our community who would not otherwise be able to access the Y’s healthy and inclusive programs and services. The need in the community has grown during the Covid-19 pandemic.
