Eastern Ontario – The short-lived North American Hockey Association- NAHA which was announced in Brockville in July, posted that they joined forces with the North American Prep Hockey League (NAPHL) for the 2023-24 hockey season on September 30th.
Press Release:
It is with great excitement that we announce that the NAPHL is joining forces with the North American Hockey Association- NAHA to form one of the largest Hockey leagues in Canada.
The North American Hockey Association (NAHA) and the North American Prep Hockey League (NAPHL) will come together for the 2023-2024.
NAHA was looking for ways to improve the exposure immediately for the players. After meeting with Anthony Miele, Owner/Operator of the NAPHL it was very evident we shared the same vision of growing the game and doing what is best for the player. This venture will offer all the players new competition and new opportunities such as an All-Star Game and Prospect Camp in late April 2024. It was an easy decision to join our leagues and offer highly competitive games right away, said Partners, Dustin Traylen, and Ian MacInnis.
The NAPHL is excited to join forces and be able to offer teams a wide range of options to play against. “After meeting the NAHA, there is a great feeling that we could be on to something special,” says Anthony Miele Owner/Operator of the NAPHL. Our league is always looking for opportunities to create the best playing environment and games which we found with the NAHA. This will allow scouts to see new teams, new competition, and a wide range of players. It is our goal together to move players on to the next level which is junior hockey.
The NAHA and NAPHL will get together in the 2023-2024 season and work together to build the best league in North America. The NAPHL will host a Showcase in one of the homes of the NAHA in Cornwall, Ontario. October 6-8, 2023. If interested, in playing games, please contact Anthony Miele, abmiele4@gmail.com
Both sides cannot wait to get going. Spread the word to the scouts to come watch some of the best hockey in North America. We cannot wait to get going.
