Brockville Operatic Society Hosting Auditions for Upcoming Production of “Oliver!”

Brockville – The Brockville Operatic Society is excited to announce auditions for our upcoming production of the classic musical, “Oliver!”

We invite individuals of all ages and backgrounds to join us in bringing this timeless story to life on the stage.

Audition Dates and Times:

• Friday, November 17, 2023: 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM
• Saturday, November 18, 2023: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Audition Location:

Musi-Theatre (Rehearsal Studio at the Brockville Arts Centre)

Audition Details:

• Auditions are open to all community members, and no previous experience is required. We welcome performers of all skill levels.
• Prepare a song of your choice (16-32 bars) and for accompaniment bring a karaoke/instrumental track to playback on your smartphone.
• Children can sing a cappella
• There will be a dance callback at 6 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2023

Choose a convenient time that fits your schedule and follow the instructions provided. Audition times become live on October 31, 2023.

About “Oliver!”:

“Oliver!” is a beloved musical that tells the story of a young orphan’s journey through the gritty streets of 19th-century London. Filled with memorable characters, catchy songs, and a heartwarming plot, it’s a production that promises to be an unforgettable experience for both cast and audience.

Rehearsal and Performance Information:

• Rehearsals will begin in March and will be held at the Musi-Theatre.
• Performances are scheduled for October 10-12, 2024 at the Brockville Arts Centre.
