Brockville – The City of Brockville is advancing a detailed design to replace the existing Main Pumping Station at Canteen Park to mitigate operational constraints and operator safety risks associated with the existing pumping station.
How will this affect me?
The Main Pumping Station is a critical component of the City’s sanitary sewer system. This project will address current and future sewage flow requirements, as well as replace aging infrastructure and improve safety, operational limitations, reliability, and redundancy.
The project involves the construction of a new pumping station beside the existing pumping station. The new Main Pumping Station will include key infrastructure such as a screening system, new electrical infrastructure, chemical systems, ancillary operational spaces, and below-grade access. The old station will be decommissioned.
We want to hear from you!
Public consultation is a key component of this Project. A Public Information Centre will be held to outline the proposed scope, identify the existing constraints, as well as a proposed alternative layout. The Public Information Centre is scheduled as follows:
Date: November 30, 2023
Time: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm (open house)
Location: City of Brockville Council Chambers, 1 King Street West, Brockville, ON K6V 7A5
All those interested in the project are urged to attend.
