Brockville – The Nepean Raiders were in Brockville on Friday night blanking the Braves 4-0 in CCHL action at the Memorial Centre.
Nepean dominated Brockville. In the first period, Peter Freel scored for Nepean, setting the tone.
The second period saw Curtiss Sturgeon and Nicolas Papineau extending the lead. Nepean sealed the victory in the 3rd period with Nolan DeFazio finding the net.
Impressive goaltending by Brady McEwan, who made 37 crucial saves, secured the shutout. On the other end, Brockville’s Zane Spaniol put up a solid effort with 30 saves.
The Braves will host the Ottawa Junior Senators this Friday night at the Memorial Centre. Game time is 7:30 pm.
As well, the Braves encourage those coming to Friday night’s game to bring a new or gently used snowsuit, hats or mittens to the game to help those in need to stay warm this winter with the 35th annual Brockville Kinsmen Snowsuit Drive.
