Gananoque – Police reports from the Gananoque Police Service from November 3rd to 7th, 2023.
Elderly Women Dementia:
On November 3rd, 2023 officers responded to a report of an elderly female, alone and confused. Upon arrival, the female was known to police as having early-onset dementia. The female was
returned safely to her family member.

Impaired Driving:
On November 4th, 2023 officers observed a vehicle travelling with no rear lights. A traffic stop was conducted and upon speaking to the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. After failing a roadside breath test, the male was arrested for further testing.
As a result, the 19-year-old male from Gananoque was charged with Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration and Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs. He was released on an appearance notice to be seen in court at a later date, and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
Probation Breach:
On November 4th, 2023 officers on patrol observed a 45-year-old male from Gananoque at a local financial institution. The male was known to be on probation with conditions not to be at that location. As a result, the male was arrested and held for a show cause bail hearing.
On November 10th, 2023 officers on patrol observed a 45-year-old male from Gananoque at a local financial institution. The male was known to be on probation with conditions not to be at that location. As a result, the male was arrested and held for a show cause bail hearing.
Fail to Comply:
On November 9th, 2023 a warrant was issued for failing to comply with probation for a 34-year-old male from Gananoque. On November 16th, 2023 the male was arrested and charged with three counts of Fail to Comply with Probation and released on an undertaking with conditions.
Assault/Sexual Assault:
On November 13th, 2023 the Gananoque Police Service received a report of a sexual assault on a youth. An investigation was conducted and as a result, a 22-year-old male from Lansdowne was
arrested and charged with two counts of Assault, and Sexual Assault on a person under 16 years of age. The male was held for a show cause bail hearing.
Sexual Interference and Sexual Assault:
On November 20th, 2023 the Gananoque Police Service received a report of a sexual assault on a child. As a result of an investigation, a 47-year-old male from Kingston was arrested and charged with Sexual Interference and Sexual Assault on a person under 16 years of age. The male was released on an undertaking with conditions.
Distribution of Intimate Images of a Minor:
On November 2nd, 2023 the Gananoque Police Service received a report of distribution of intimate images of a minor. An investigation was conducted, and as a result, a youth was arrested on November 22nd, 2023 and charged with Distributing intimate images without consent, and Importing, distributing, selling or possessing for the purpose of distribution or sale any child pornography. The youth was released on an undertaking with conditions, to be seen in court at a later date.
Failure to Attend Court:
On October 20th, 2023 a bench warrant was issued for a 36-year-old male from Kingston for failing to attend court as required. On November 27th, 2023 the male was arrested by Kingston Police on the strength of the warrant and transported to the Gananoque Police Service. He was charged with Failure to attend court after having appeared. The male was held for a show cause bail hearing.

On November 27th, 2023 officers on patrol observed a 45-year-old male from Gananoque at a local financial institution. The male was known to be on probation with conditions not to be at that location. As a result, the male was arrested and held for a show cause bail hearing.
