Brockville – The City of Brockville is pleased to announce that the rink will be ready to skate this Friday Afternoon December 15. We plan on it being open for the weekend. This will be weather-dependent. We will monitor it through Saturday and Sunday. Warm temperatures this weekend may cause it to close.
Please note that the rink is scheduled to be closed from Monday, December 18 until Thursday, December 21 for some cool upgrades to be installed. Stay tuned for more about these awesome upgrades. If all goes well, the rink will reopen Friday, December 22, and remain open for the rest of the winter.
Please note that we will be offering Public Skating Only every day from 9 am to 1 pm, with absolutely no hockey permitted at this time. We will then turn it over to hockey play, from 1 pm to 9 pm daily. Also note that there is no league play on this rink, as it remains free and open for all to use. Only pick-up (shinny) hockey is to be played.
The City asks everyone to play safe and be mindful and respectful of others. We ask that hockey players please be kind while playing, as there will likely be some other users on the ice who are not playing hockey. Hard slap shots are not permitted in the rink due to the risk of injury to unsuspecting users. Failure to comply with this could lead to removal from the rink.
In an EMERGENCY, please call 911. The address of this facility is 185 George Street, Brockville, Ontario
