Brockville – Join the Friends of Mac Johnson Wildlife Area for their annual Winter Festival on Saturday, January 27.
It is being held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and will feature numerous events for the whole family.
Admission is by donation and canteen items are individually priced (credit, debit and cash)
The Mush Larose Dog Sled teams will race on the trails; and kids can create a snow village, snowshoe, build a bird
feeder and play games.
Campfires with marshmallow roasting, a chilli and hot dog canteen plus hiking on the trails will round out the day.
The Friends say they are hoping for lots of snow by late January. However, if enough snow does not fall, the Winter Festival will go ahead anyway with different activities they have planned for kids and adults!
Mac Johnson Wildlife Area is located at 4649 Debruge Road, Brockville (north entrance to Mac Johnson at Tin Cap)
