Westport/Rideau Lakes – A Snowfall Warning is in effect for Westport – Charleston Lake this morning or early afternoon into tonight.
Significant snowfall with a risk of freezing rain is possible today.
Snow associated with a major winter storm is expected to move into portions of southern Ontario today. Snow may be heavy at times with a risk of freezing rain.
15 to 20 cm of snow with locally higher amounts possible and a
risk of freezing rain.
The snow is expected to change to rain tonight as temperatures rise above the freezing mark.
Difficult travel conditions will be likely, particularly later today and tonight.
Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
