North Grenville – North Grenville’s Municipal-wide on-demand transit service launches today, Monday, January 15, 2024.
The Municipality urges members of the community to register for the service via the Blaise app, website or phone so they are ready to book their ride whenever they need it. You will also receive notifications on any changes to the service moving forward.
NGtransit will significantly expand the previously limited service. The new service will be available seven days a week to residents of all ages and abilities who need to travel within North Grenville’s boundaries.
The service will operate from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm Monday through Saturday and from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm on Sunday.
“After extensive consultation with rural transit experts, we are thrilled to be launching NGtransit so that we can better respond to the needs of more residents and businesses,” emphasized Mayor Nancy Peckford.
Partial funding to support the Municipal transit system operating costs comes from the provincial Gas Tax. As the system grows, the province will provide more dollars based on ridership.
How to Access the Service
Pre-registration is required to book a ride. You can do this anytime by phone, online or through the new Blaise app.
