“Your contributions, big or small, have made a huge difference in enhancing healthcare services at Brockville General Hospital. Your support is the driving force behind our progress, and we’re thrilled to have reached our goal! Let’s keep building a healthier future for our community, together!” – Brockville & District Hospital Foundation
Brockville and District Hospital Foundation launched its annual appeal in November in support of the Your Health Your Hospital (YHYH) Campaign. A total of $12.5 million has been committed to acquiring a state-of-the-art MRI and suite, mammography machine and other essential equipment for Brockville General Hospital (BGH).
In the spring of 2024, Brockville General Hospital will open its new state-of-the-art MRI suite. The innovative project will bring MRI diagnostic services to the Leeds Grenville community.
The official groundbreaking for the new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services in Leeds Grenville took place last August.
MRI imaging can help physicians provide early diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, often eliminating the need for other tests. This means faster and better care, ultimately improving an individual’s quality of life. Investing in modern tools and technologies, like MRI, provides healthcare workers with the right tools and technology to confidently deliver the best patient care.
To ensure the MRI is in service as soon as possible, Brockville General engaged SDI Canada for the MRI building. MRIs, because of their large magnets, require specialized housing. Brockville General will be using the first-ever modular suite in Ontario, meaning a faster, more cost-effective solution to delivering MRI services to our community.
