Brockville – The Brockville Fire Department wants to remind residents that cooking remains the leading cause of home fires and home fire injuries.
In a post to their Facebook Page, they said that on Tuesday night they responded to a fire at an apartment building on Kensington Parkway after receiving reports of smoke in the building.
When firefighters arrived they found a fire in one unit of the building. The fire was contained in the kitchen of the unit and was quickly extinguished.
The fire department wants to remind residents again that cooking remains the leading cause of home fires and home fire injuries.
