Brockville – Brockville Police and Lanark, Leeds-Grenville Addictions and Mental Health (LLGAMH) hosted a Night Out in The Cold on Monday, February 12th, supporting the Cooperative Care Centre (CCC).
The event raised $1022.00 for the Cooperative Care Centre, a community shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Approximately 50 people were in attendance to help raise awareness for the City’s ever growing unhoused population.
Brockville Police also sent out a special thank you to 8-year-old Ethan of Autistic Expressions.
Ethan personally knitted 70 warm hats to support the unhoused population, from yarn that was graciously donated.
If anyone is looking to get rid of any old yarn please reach out via email, autistic.expressions1@gmail.com. Ethan will be continuing his mission of donating hats back into the community.
