Brockville – In late 2023, the Brockville Theatre Guild stole the spotlight with their heartwarming rendition of Calendar Girls at the Brockville Art Centre. But their magic didn’t stop there.
They also embarked on a special initiative, selling their very own Calendar Girls calendars. Featuring stunning snapshots of the talented cast, beautifully captured by local photographer Kaylee Villeneuve of Mademoiselles in Lace. Kaylee graciously donated her skills to this project.
Their mission? To raise $6,000 to $10,000 for Palliative Care at Brockville General Hospital. And guess what? They didn’t just meet their goal – they soared past it, raising an incredible $13,537.85!
But that’s not all! Included in this sum are proceeds from tickets sold for a chance to win an enchanting Margaret Ebdon original. Margaret, a local artist who discovered her passion during recovery from a traumatic brain injury in 2011, continues to inspire.
We’re beyond grateful to the Brockville Theatre Guild for their extraordinary fundraising efforts. Palliative Care services at Brockville General Hospital rely on the unwavering support of our community, from events like the Friends of Palliative Care Golf Tournament to initiatives like the Brockville Theatre Guild Calendar Sales, and generous donations.
A massive thank you to everyone involved in bringing this special calendar to life, and to all who purchased a copy! Your support is invaluable
