
Brockville – The John Howard Society of Kingston & District & Connect Youth hosted a Coldest Night of the Year Fundraising Walk this past Saturday, February 24th at the Brockville Shopping Centre in Brockville.

The event saw close to 127 walkers in 25 teams raise a total of $33,706.00 surpassing their goal. The annual fundraiser is in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.
The Coldest Night of the Year is a 2 & 5 km walk which is hosted in 190+ cities across Canada in support of the JHSKD/Connect Youth’s work in Leeds & Grenville.
Canada wide the event saw a total of 6,319 consisting of 40,414 walkers in 190 locations raising over $13,575,344.
