Augusta Township Receives Sustainability Award

Maynard – The Township of Augusta is pleased to announce that Call2Recycle Canada, Inc. has named it as a 2023 Leader in Sustainability.

Each year, the Leader in Sustainability Award is granted to organizations that display exceptional commitment to the environment and responsible battery management.

The Township of Augusta collected 2,759 kilograms of household batteries through the Call2Recycle® program in 2023, making them one of its top-performing partners.

Thanks to your contributions Call2Recycle increased collections by 32% in 2023, diverting almost 6 million kilograms of batteries from the landfill.
