Kemptville – The Kemptville 73s lost a 6-1 decision to the Smiths Falls Bears in CCHL action at the North Grenville Municipal Centre on Wednesday night.
Scoring the lone goal for the 73s was Tyler Melvin with assists from Grady Logue and Tanner Fennell in the first period.
Smiths Falls’ goals were in the first period 2 goals by Trevor Faucher and one by Lucas Culhane.
Julien Wasmer and Owen Watson each picked up one in the second period and Travis Ouellette scored one in the third period.
Kemptville outshot Smiths Falls 29 to 23 during the game.
The Bears host the Carleton Place Canadians this Friday night starting at 7:30 pm.
The 73s travel to Carleton Place on Sunday afternoon to play the Canadians. The puck drops there at 3:00 pm.
