Prescott – A 42-year-old from Edwardsburgh-Cardinal is facing failing to comply with a probation order charges after being found in a home in Prescott despite being under court-ordered conditions not to be there.
In an OPP press release, police said on Monday, March 11th before 3:30 pm they responded with the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit to a home on Park Street East in Prescott.
When they arrived they found the suspect hiding in the home and arrested the person.
OPP says that the accused was charged with failing to comply with a probation order and had outstanding warrants for failing to comply with probation orders.
The accused was remanded in custody until a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville today, March 12, 2024.
Police said that the accused’s name would not be released to protect the other party’s identity.
