Brockville – The 2nd Annual Brockville Magedoma Old Timers Hockey Tournament is being held on Tuesday, March 19th and Wednesday, March 20th at the Brockville Memorial Centre.
The two days of hockey will feature teams from Kingston, Prescott, Westport, and beyond. But it’s not just about the games, they’re also rallying behind the “Time for Beds” campaign, dedicated to upgrading the hospital beds at Brockville General Hospital.
All games will be played between the hours of 10 AM to 4 PM with each team being guaranteed 3 games over the 2 days. There will be no overtime for any games played, and because it is a recreational tournament, there will be no playoffs.
All proceeds from the 2024 Magedoma hockey tournament will be contributed to local charities, the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation (New Beds Initiative) and Brockville’s Weekender Program for Kids.

Founded in 1904 by Senator George Fulford and George T. Fulford, the team has seen its fair share of victories and transformations over the years. From dominating league playoffs in the 1930s to winning championships in the New York – Ontario Hockey League in the 1950s, the Magedomas have left an indelible mark on Brockville’s hockey legacy.
Fast forward to today, and the spirit of Magedoma hockey lives on through the Brockville Magedoma Old Timers Hockey League.
Since 2008, they’ve been hitting the ice at the Brockville Memorial Centre, bringing together players aged 55 and up for some friendly competition and camaraderie. With members ranging from 55 to 84 years old, they’re more than just a hockey team – they’re a tight-knit community, forging lifelong friendships both on and off the ice.
Join them next week as they continue the tradition of Magedoma hockey, blending skill, sportsmanship, and a whole lot of fun. See you at the rink.
