Community Clean-Up Day This Year is Saturday, April 27th
Brockville – The Brockville Community-Wide Clean-Up Committee is seeking volunteers to help plan and organize the annual Community Clean-Up that is taking place on Saturday, April 27th.
The event encourages residents to select a park and go out on the event day to clean up litter and debris to help beautify the city.
There are a variety of volunteer duties and roles available on the committee including:
- Website maintenance, management and monitoring
- Social Media Management, posts and updates
- Managing registrations, responding to emails and inquiries
- Procuring donations and supplies
- Handing out supplies
- Visiting the sites on clean-up day and participating in litter clean-ups
Volunteering for the committee will not only ensure that this well-loved event will take place each year, but this opportunity will help you expand your skills and gain experience in event management. As well, students will receive volunteer hours.
Your input is appreciated and valued. You can commit to anywhere from 5 to 40 hours of volunteer time.
This year’s event is set for Saturday, April 27th from 9:00 am to noon.

The City of Brockville will kick off the event when staff take part in the Mayor’s Clean-up Corporate Challenge, held on Friday, April 21st. Businesses throughout Brockville are encouraged to spend some time outdoors cleaning up their property.
