Brockville – On Wednesday, March 13th, a cheque for $2,000 was presented to Aaron’s M.I.L.L. (musical instrument lending library) founder, Willy Stevenson by Rotary Club of the 1000 Islands members Larry Journal and Dave Paul on behalf of both Rotary Brockville Clubs.
Willy is well known in the local music scene and through the DIFA (Do It For Aaron) Foundation, the lending library was set up, in memory of his son, Aaron. This Library is free to all ages with hundreds of instruments available to people. Donated quality instruments are always welcome.
Located in Stingers at the old Brockville Shopping Centre, Aaron’s M.I.L.L. is a safe place to learn, play or just jam with other like-minded people.
Currently, Willy works with schools, mental health organizations and the YMCA of Eastern Ontario to give children an opportunity to learn what music can offer.
The most popular instrument at Aaron’s M.I.L.L. is the guitar, followed closely by keyboards and drums.
