Sections are scheduled to be lifted by crane onto the concrete foundation on Saturday
Brockville – Two prefabricated building sections that will comprise Brockville General Hospital’s magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) suite is scheduled to arrive at the hospital on tractor-trailers after 5 p.m. this afternoon.
The sections are scheduled to be lifted by crane onto a concrete foundation on Saturday, March 23rd between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
To ensure the safety of staff and visitors, there will be some temporary changes in access to the hospital during this time.
Beginning at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 22nd, BGH’s main entrance will be closed, a temporary main entrance is open west of the closed main entrance.
If you are dropping off a patient, you are asked to use the patient drop-off and pick-up zone located at the Pearl Street entrance.
The short-term parking lot and access to the parking lot from Charles Street will be closed during this time
As well, parking will be free with access via Bartholomew Street. They ask that if you are coming to the hospital, please plan ahead.
Access to the Emergency Department will not be affected.
