Brockville – Three municipalities in Leeds and Grenville currently have burn bans in place.
August, Elizabethtown-Kitley and North Grenville all have burn bans in place as some fire departments have been responding to multiple brush and grass fires over the weekend.
Augusta
As of 3:14 pm today Saturday, March 30, 2024, a FULL BURN BAN has been put into place for ALL of Augusta Township.
Multiple Fire Services including Augusta Fire Rescue have been responding to multiple brush and grass fires this weekend. The Burn Ban will remain in place until conditions improve.
Elizabethtown-Kitley
At this time a total burn ban is in place. We will monitor conditions and update when possible.
North Grenville
North Grenville is under a TOTAL BURN BAN; no burning of any kind is permitted.
Conditions will be monitored daily, and the burn ban will be lifted as soon as it is safe to do so. Kindly be extra vigilant not to dispose of smoking material while driving.
