Foul Play is not Suspected at this time!
Brockville – City police are investigating a drowning that occurred in the St. Lawrence River on Monday morning.
Brockville Police A/Sgt. Jeff Wiwchar said that earlier this morning that police along with Brockville Fire and Leeds and Grenville Paramedics responded to Centeen Park in the city after receiving calls of a person in distress in the St. Lawrence River.
A 39-year-old man was removed from the water and transported to Brockville General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
He went on to say that this is still an ongoing investigation and foul play is not suspected at this time.
They ask that anyone with any information is asked to call the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127.
