Gananoque – The Gananoque Islanders won game 4 of the EOSHL Championship best of 5 series 4-3 over North Dundas Rockets on Saturday at the Lou Jefferies in Gananoque.
The series is tied 2-2. Game 5, the series’s final is set for this Thursday back in Chesterville. Game time is 8:00 pm.
Gananoque scored 2 goals in the first from Brock Higgs (Ben Blasko, Kevin Domingue) and Alex Rees (Ryan Pawlikowski, Aidan Harris) to take a 2-0 lead after the first.
In the second period, North Dundas scored two goals, both by Fabian Walsh (Adam Beveridge, Michael Mcnamee) at 11:10 and at 8:33 (Brett Gustavsen, Michael Mcnamee) to tie the game.
The Islanders’ Cole Busschaert (Graeme Brown, Braden Mercier) would score a goal at 6:01 in the second to take the lead once again for Gananoque.
The Rockets would tie the game up again, 3-3 at 2:48 on a goal from Ryan Lough (Andrew Radjenovic, Michael Mcnamee).
In the third period, Gan’s Aidan Harris (Ryan Pawlikowski, Eric Selleck) would score the winning goal for the Islanders to make it 4-3.
