Brockville – A 25-year-old Brockville man is facing weapon and failing to comply with probation charges after an altercation where he used bear spray on another person.
Police said that on Saturday, March 30th around 11:00 am, they received a call to an apartment building on Kyle Court in the city in response to altercation where bear spray was deployed.
Investigation revealed that the 25-year-old, man was at one of the units in the building to retrive some prpperty when an altercation started between the man and the resident of the unit.
The man used a canister of bear spray during the altercation which discharged in the hallway. Police say Brockville Fire responded to help with decontaminating the building.
Police sai the man was known to be on probation with conditions to abide by. He was held in custody for a bail hearing for the offences of four counts of failing to comply with probation, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and mischief under $5,000.00.
There were some non-life-threatening injuries in this incident according to police.
