Brockville – A second fire broke out at the corner of Brock and Perth Streets late Sunday night
The site of the former Hengeveld’s Grocery at 113 Perth Street once again caught fire before 9:30 pm last night. The Brockville Fire Department was dispatched to the structure fire and upon arrival there was smoke showing.
Reports of the fire were received at around 9:30 pm. The Brockville Fire Department responded quickly to the scene keeping the fire contained and eventually it was extinguished. No one was injured.
This was the second fire at this location, the first time was last September when it claimed the life of a 44-year-old man. That fire was not deemed suspicious.
Although the fire marshall is not investigating the second fire, Brockville Police are. They say an investigation is underway regarding the second fire.
They said they continue to work on identifying the suspect(s). and are asking the public to review any security or doorbell cameras for any possible suspect footage.
