Brockville – Today is the last day to register for the Brockville Fire Department’s (BFD) new Girls Firefighting Camp, “Belles & Ladders”.

The first of its kind in Brockville, the camp is set to take place this summer, from July 3rd to 5th in Brockville and is open to young women between the ages of 15-18 years old and is free of charge for participants.
The goals of the camp are to inspire young women to consider a career in the fire service but more importantly to be empowered, to have the confidence to believe they can achieve any goal they set their minds to.
Participants will have hands-on training in skills they’d face as firefighters. Learn and experience practical, leadership and teamwork skills in a safe environment, experience fire rescue scenarios and explore opportunities for future growth.
