Single Vehicle Collision Results in Impaired Charges

Edwardsburgh/Cardinal – Grenville OPP arrested and charged a 22-year-old from Augusta Township following a single-vehicle collision in Edwardsburgh Cardinal Township on Friday.

Police say that around 11:00 pm on Friday, officers responded to the collision on Froom Road where the vehicle had left the road and struck a tree stump and narrowly missing a home.

The driver was arrested and charged with:

• Operation while impaired
• Operation while impaired, blood alcohol concentration 80 and above
• Dangerous operation
• Fail to comply with Probation Order
• Drive motor vehicle, no licence

The driver was later released and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, in Brockville, at a later date.
