North Bay Humane Society to bring more than 25 adoptable animals to the Parkedale store on Saturday & Sunday
Brockville – This weekend the North Bay Humane Society is bringing 26 adoptable animals to a Brockville-area Pet Valu store in the hopes of finding them forever homes.
Altogether, a team of seven staff and volunteers will bring up to 15 cats, 12 dogs and 2 rabbits to the Pet Valu store, located at 2539 Parkedale Avenue, for the two-day event. The event runs Saturday, May 25th from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday, May 26th from 10 am to 1 pm.
“Adoption weekend events are a great opportunity for families to meet dogs and cats looking for their forever homes,” says Janet Bredin, Shelter Manager for the North Bay Humane Society. “Shelters and rescue groups across Canada are bursting at the seams with homeless animals and it’s our hope that by hosting these events, we can find homes for needy animals.”
This weekend marks the first of four Adoption Weekend events the North Bay Humane Society will run in 2024. Animals heading to the event will travel in style, taking the shelter’s newly-wrapped Rescue and Relief Transport vehicle gifted by Pet Valu in 2018.
