Several firearms were stolen, appeal for information!
Augusta Twps. – The Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating two overnight residential break-and-enters, where several firearms were stolen.
Police say on May 29, 2024, shortly after 7:00 a.m., the OPP received a report of a break-and-enter that occurred overnight at a residence on McIntosh Road. Officers learned multiple firearms were stolen from the residence.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., the OPP received another call for a break-and-enter having occurred overnight, on Klitbo Road. Officers confirmed several firearms were also stolen from that residence.
At this time, it is unknown if the incidents are related. The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services.
