Brockville – St. Lawrence College is holding its spring 2024 Convocation ceremonies for the Brockville campus this Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Brockville Memorial Centre,
Some 350 graduates will cross the stage from programs such as Pre-Service Firefighter, Music Theatre – Performance, Nursing, and more.
There will be two ceremonies, the 10:00 am ceremony includes programs from the Schools of Allied Health, Nursing, Arts, Media and Design, and SLC+ Continuing Education.
At the 10:00 am ceremony, the College will also confer its Honorary Diploma on Sherri Fournier Hudson, Executive Director of the Upper Canada Family Health Team in Brockville.
“Receiving this award is a complete surprise and a tremendous honour. I am not one to enjoy the limelight, so this is a little outside my comfort zone. To me, this award also acknowledges the many people that I have been fortunate to work with over the years. My motto is that it takes a community to get things done.” said Sherri Fournier Hudson.
At 1:30 pm, students from the Schools of Business and Community Services, Corporate Learning and Performance Improvement, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Skilled Trades will graduate.
“We take great pride in the accomplishments of our graduating students,” said Les Casson, Dean, Faculty of Creative Industries and Brockville Campus. “Their hard work inspires us all. We are confident that their experience at SLC will equip them to thrive in their respective fields and positively impact their communities. We’re excited for them and for the contributions they will make in our region and around the globe.”
