Brockville – The Brockville Legion Track & Field Club says Athletics Ontario is on the hunt for Ontario’s Fastest Kids – girls, boys, and Para girls and Para boys – through Athletics Canada’s 2024 Athletics for All Grant Program, made possible thanks to funding from the Government of Canada.
Eligible events:
- U12 Boys 80m
- U12 Girls 80m
- U14 Boys 80m (only athletes born in 2012 and later eligible)
- U14 Girls 80m (only athletes born in 2012 and later eligible)
- U12 Boys Para 80m
- U12 Girls Para 80m
- U14 Boys Para 80m(only athletes born in 2012 and later eligible)
- U14 Boys Para 80m(only athletes born in 2012 and later eligible)
Qualifying Athletes:
- 1 Boy Born 2012 and later (U13)
- 1 Girl Born 2012 and later (U13)
- 1 Para Girl Born 2012 and later (U13)
- 1 Para Boy Born 2012 and later (U13)
Cost: Thanks to a grant from Athletics Ontario and the Government of Canada this event is being offered at no cost in our region to enable participation of all eligible athletes. The fastest athlete from these events born in 2012 or later will be selected as Ontario’s Fastest Kid winner from this region and may not be the individual event winner, as some U14 athletes will be born in 2011.
Qualifying athletes from each category will earn a spot in the 80m Ontario Finale which will take place in Toronto on July 20th against the other regional winners.
