Brockville – Police reports from the Brockville Police Service from June 8th and 9th, 2024.
Charge Laid Involving Intimate Partner Violence:
On June 9, 2024, at about 5:00 pm, police responded to a residence on Kyle Crt., regarding an allegation of assault. Police spoke to a couple there and found that the male and a 27-year-old, female were engaged in an argument over household routines. As a result, the female subject struck the male several times. The male received non-life-threatening injuries. The female was arrested and charged with assault. She was later released on conditions with a future court date.
Disturbance by Fighting:
On June 9, 2024, at about 9:30 pm, police received a report of a fight at a residence on Brock St. Officers attended and spoke to the individuals involved. Two females were identified as the ones responsible for the altercation. One of the females was located out front of the residence,
intoxicated, upon officers’ arrival. It was discovered that the two females engaged in a fight that disturbed residents in the area. The altercation was not deemed an assault and no injuries were received. The intoxicated female was arrested for public intoxication and removed from the area. She was later released once sober. Neither were charged criminally.
Residential Fire:
On June 8, 2024, at about 8:15 pm, police received information that the Brockville Fire Department was responding to an active fire at a residence on Millwood Ave. The Brockville Fire Department responded quickly and contained the fire to the single residence. In fact, it was advised that the fire was mostly contained in an upstairs bedroom of the residence. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident, however, the family was displaced for the time being. The fire is not deemed suspicious and there is no further police investigation.
