London – The Thousand Islands Secondary School (TISS) Pirates Junior Girls 4×100 Relay Team has come away with Gold at this year’s 2024 OFSAA Track and Field Championships being held at Western Alumni Stadium in London.
The team of Victoria Ford, Emma and Olivia St. Pierre, and Tiawna Anderson competed in the Junior Girls 4×100 relay on Friday coming in first with a time of 48:97. It was a close finish as the second place team from Father Henry Carr came in with a time of 49.07.

On Thursday, Day 1 of OFSAA the TISS Pirates Track & Field Team had a record-setting day. TISS’s relay teams scorched the purple track at Western for some massive personal bests and a new school record for the TISS junior girls who beat the old record of 51.19 with an almost unbelievable 49.28 seconds.
The Pirates’ novice boys ran to a 45.85 time to finish 3rd in qualifying for Friday’s final. Carter Cuglietta also scored a big personal best of 52.82 seconds to qualify for Friday’s final. Both relay times are among the fastest in the history of TISS.
