Cornwall – The Brockville Bunnies travelled to Cornwall this past Saturday for a doubleheader against the Montreal Titans.
In game one the Bunnies fell short in Game 1, as they lost 4-3 in extra innings to the Titans.
After holding a 2-0 lead through five innings, the Titans added one run in the 6th, and one run in the 7th to send the game into extra innings.
The Bunnies tacked on one run in the top of the 8th off of a double by Ben Buxton. The Titans respond in the bottom of the 8th with a single to score one, and an error by the Bunnies to score another for the win.
Strong pitching performance by Charlie Todd, going 6 innings, giving up 0 earned runs, and striking out six. Bunnies again outhit their opponent, but cannot find timely hits with runners in scoring position.
Ben Buxton finished the game with two hits and two RBIs, and Hunter Sanger added two hits.
Game two was cancelled due to rain and field conditions.

The Bunnies will head to Oneonta NY this weekend for the first tourney of the season at the Oneonta Green Wave Classic.
The first game is this Friday against Schenectady starting at 5:30 pm. On Saturday the Bunnies will play Oneonta at 10:00 am and then Freemansburg at 3:00 pm.
Sunday will be the championship game.
