Free Admission Weekend for Brown’s Bay Beach & Picnic Area Grand Re-Opening

The official grand reopening ceremony is this Friday from 11: am to 2: pm!

Mallorytown – The St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) is celebrating the grand re-opening of Brown’s Bay Beach and Picnic Area, with free admission for all from Friday, June 14 to Sunday, June 16.

Guests can look forward to a range of new amenities, including a beautiful new bayfront building featuring food and beverage service areas, changing rooms, and comfort stations.

The renovated park also offers accessible water access points, outdoor showers on both sides of the building, and a water fountain and bottle refill station. Families can enjoy a new seating and picnic area with a shade sail near the playground, perfect for relaxing after building sandcastles on the perched beach.

Celebrate the transformation of SLPC’s oldest and most iconic park this weekend! The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Friday, June 14 at 11 a.m. All are welcome.

Funded through investment by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport (MTCS) and bolstered by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC)’s Internally Restricted Reserve, SLPC’s oldest and most iconic park is the first beach to undergo revitalization. This initiative is part of planned upgrades to all parks, fulfilling the strategic objectives set out in SLPC’s strategic plan, Strengthening our Foundation for a Sustainable Future (2021-2026).
