Brockville – Police Reports from the Brockville Police Service from June 14th to 16th, 2024.
General Calls and Warrant Execution:
Between the dates of June 14 – June 16, 2024, the Brockville Police Service received 161 calls for service. During that time officers made 12 arrests, four of which individuals were held for bail. This resulted in 17 Criminal Code Charges and five Traffic Charges.
Four of the arrests were a result of arrest warrants being executed.
– 42-year-old, female arrested on a warrant for failing to comply with release order bail conditions. Held for a bail hearing.
– 14-year-old, male arrested on a warrant for failing to attend court and theft under $5,000. Released with a new court date.
– 43-year-old, male arrested on a warrant for theft under $5,000, failing to attend court and failing to attend for fingerprints. He was released with a future court date.
– 40-year-old, female was arrested on a warrant in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation. She was turned over to the OPP for their investigation.
Neighbour Dispute Leads to Assault Charges:
On June 14, 2024, at about 7:30 am, police received a 911 call in regards to an altercation stemming from a neighbour dispute in the area of King St. E. Police attended quickly and investigation revealed that a 31-year-old, female was in an argument with two other neighbouring individuals, over a complaint of a barking dog.
This escalated to the point that the 31-year-old, female subject deployed bear spray on one of the neighbours and made threats to cause harm to the other. The 31-year-old, subject was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats. She was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Two Subjects Arrested for Robbery:
On June 14, 2024, at about 8:15 pm, police received a report of a robbery that had taken place in the area of Giant Tiger on Park St.
Investigation revealed that the victim was with two other males and knew the subjects. During their conversation, an unprovoked assault took place where the victim was assaulted by the subjects by being punched. One of the subjects, who is 26 years of age, brandished a knife while striking the victim.
Luckily, the victim was not more seriously injured and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. When the subjects fled, the victim noticed that his cell phone had been stolen.
On June 15, 2024, at about 5:00 pm, both male subjects involved in the incident were located on Stewart Blvd. and arrested for robbery.
After further investigation, one male was released unconditionally and the second, a 26-year-old, male was held for a bail hearing and charged with the offences of robbery with a weapon, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failure to comply with probation.
