Morrisburg – With true summer now upon us, Parks of the St. Lawrence is pleased to remind the community that Day Use & Picnic Areas are now open seven days a week until Labour Day. Whether you’re looking for a day of adventure or a relaxing picnic by the water, these parks offer the perfect opportunity for a daycation.
A season pass offers unlimited access to all six Parks of the St. Lawrence Day-Use Parks and Beaches. Day passes are also available for those seeking a single-day adventure. Day-use permits are required throughout the 2024 season, Monday to Sunday. Passes are available for purchase at any of the park locations.
Glengarry Beach, located less than an hour west of Montreal on the shores of Lake St. Francis, offers a unique experience amid the picturesque 1000 Islands.
At the revitalized Brown’s Bay Beach and Picnic Area, in Mallorytown, guests can look forward to a range of new amenities, including a beautiful new bayfront building featuring areas for food and beverage service, changing rooms, and comfort stations. The renovated park also offers accessible water access points, outdoor showers on both sides of the building, and a water fountain and bottle refill station. Families can enjoy a new seating and picnic area with a shade sail near the playground, perfect for relaxing after building sandcastles on the perched beach.
The Long Sault Parkway boasts the largest public beach on the St. Lawrence River corridor at Mille Roches. Both Mille Roches Beach & Picnic Area and nearby Woodlands Beach & Picnic Area are perfect spots to soak up the sun and enjoy a picnic.
Farran Park Beach & Picnic Area is located in Ingleside on a serene peninsula jutting into the St. Lawrence River. The southern exposure is perfect for sunbathing on the wide arching sandbank.
Crysler Park Beach, nestled between Upper Canada Village and Crysler Park Marina near Morrisburg, is a refreshing place for small or large family gatherings.
