Brockville Chamber Announces  Barry Moss as the 2024 Award of Excellence Citizen of the Year

Brockville – This year’s recipient of the Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Award of Excellence Citizen of the Year is Barry Moss.

Barry Moss is a highly respected, motivated and entrepreneurial professional with extensive experience in driving business growth. He is known for establishing and sustaining valued networks while creating strategic alliances. Barry implements innovative solutions that consistently deliver results beyond expectations. As a collaborative leader, he achieves results through a commitment to bring out the best in others, engaging people and working to instill trust, confidence and respect.

He exemplifies the spirit of leadership, community service, and personal dedication. As a visionary leader, Barry Moss has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment and effectiveness in various leadership roles. Through his strategic direction and innovative approaches, he has transformed numerous organizations and initiatives, fostering growth and sustainable success. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Barry Moss is an investor who has provided critical financial support and guidance to many start-ups and emerging businesses.

Four-O-One Electric was established in 1966 and operated primarily as a residential electrical service, employing three employees. After working there for many years, Barry Moss purchased the business in 1992 and recognized the potential for company growth. Today, Four-O-One Electric proudly employs over 50 full-time employees working in all sectors.

Barry, a committed and valued community leader, has served on numerous boards and committees, including:

• – Employment and Education Center
• – Electrical Safety Authority
• – Economic Development Advisory Team
• – Leeds and Grenville Small Business Centre as a Business Mentor and grand panellist

• – Fundraising for sending kids to camps

Barry’s dedication as a volunteer has been unwavering as he continues to make a lasting impact on the community. Barry has raised thousands of dollars to send kids to camps and supported programming and initiatives across our region. His time, a priceless gift, has been generously given. He has fearlessly tackled organization’s most challenging issues, always maintaining a positive outlook and a smile. His calm demeanour and ability to see the good in everything have been a constant source of inspiration for all those with whom he is involved.

Barry’s unwavering commitment to service is evident in his active involvement with local non-profits, volunteer groups, and community development projects.

Barry and Lori have been married for 35 years. They are blessed to have two wonderful daughters. Rebecca and Sarah, whose support and love are the foundation for everything he does. When he’s not busy with business or volunteering in our community, Barry enjoys time with his family travelling and simply being together.
