
Brockville – The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics are just two weeks away and the Brockville Museum is celebrating by looking back at Brockville’s past participation in the Summer Olympic Games with a new temporary display.
From a boxer attending the Olympic Trials in 1948 to hosting the torch relay in 1976 to participating in shot put at the 2020 Games – Brockville has a rich history of participation in the Games.
Among the many Olympic connections on display, Brockville’s Rowing and Equestrian participation take centre stage.
“Special thanks to those local athletes who loaned us objects for this display.” said the museum
“Brockville’s Summer Olympic Connections” is on now until October 11 in the museum’s lobby.
Admission is by donation. The museum is open Monday-Saturday 10 am-4 pm (until September 28).
