Brockville – The Brockville Police Service has received information and has confirmed with the Brockville General Hospital that the Brockville General Hospital contracted the individuals described in the previous news release. The individuals were determined to be photographers contracted by the Brockville General Hospital and the City of Brockville and were taking photographs for recruitment purposes.
The Brockville Police Service would like to thank members of the public for their assistance in this matter. Further, the Brockville Police Service would like to remind members of the public that while it was determined the individuals in this incident were there for legitimate purposes; they continue to exercise caution when providing personal information to unknown parties and to report any suspicious activity.

The Brockville Police Service is investigating suspicious activity at the Rotary Park Splash Pad on the 3rd of July, 2024. On the 11th of July, 2024, Police received a report of three males taking photos of individuals, while using the splash pad, particularly children. When confronted, the males claimed they were taking photos for a fundraiser on behalf of Brockville General Hospital.
In this case, the males requested the name, phone number, and email address of the individuals, claiming they would send them the photos. Brockville General Hospital and the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation have confirmed that no individuals are acting in such a capacity.
The males were described as well-dressed, using high-end camera equipment.
The Brockville Police Service would like to remind members of the public to exercise caution when providing personal information to unknown parties. Further, the Brockville Police Service encourages members of the public to report any suspicious activity.
