Brockville – Twelve municipalities across Leeds and Grenville have officially donated a total of $296,800 to the G. Tackaberry and Family Long-Term Care Home in Athens, ON. The donation was presented by the mayors of these municipalities before July’s Joint Services Committee meeting, supporting the redevelopment project.
Arie Hoogenboom, Mayor of Rideau Lakes and a member of the redevelopment project’s fundraising committee, expressed his enthusiasm for the collective dedication and commitment shown towards the project.
“This is a very important project for our area,” said Hoogenboom, who was responsible for presenting the fundraising vision to all municipalities in Leeds and Grenville. “Providing 132 new long-term care beds is a significant investment for the residents of Leeds and Grenville.
