Merrickville – The 4th Merrickville Festival of the Arts is happening this weekend, Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th at Blockhouse Park on the banks of the Rideau River in Merrickville.
The collaborative effort involving The Merrickville Organization for Culture & the Arts (MOCA) and the Merrickville Arts Guild (MAG) runs from 11 am to 6 pm on each day.
It will feature a lineup of local and nearby musicians, Urban Sketchers will capture the village’s unique architecture, while MAG artists showcase their brilliant work nearby.
Discover the captivating story of Merrickville’s historical legend, Harry F. McLean, through the eyes of MAG artist and professional storyteller Johanna Kuyvenhoven. Activities for kids in collaboration with Merrickville Day Nursery School and l’École élémentaire catholique Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys.
A free night concert is being held on Saturday, July 27th, at 7:00 PM in the United Church for an unforgettable performance by the wildly popular Tripoly and the Grenville Troubadours. Donations to The Pews are warmly welcomed at the door.
